Educational Toys for Kids Under 13

I am looking to order some educational toys for my kids and would like some suggestions from you guys. I have two kids under 13 and they mainly love video games but I want to get them used to physical toys as well. Thanks for any help.

Tip 1 - Blokus

This is like the tetris computer game, but with real blocks. The game has gotten several awards and is ideal for 2-4 players. No scoring is involved but its a lot of fun and learning.

Tip 2 - Spielgaben Toy-Based Educational Learning System.

Spielgaben Toy-Based Educational Learning System.

Spielgaben, like most good educational toys is not cheap so you need to look beyond the initial cost and evaluate the value for your family, remembering that these will be played with over a lifetime.

I am always on the lookout for excellent quality, open-ended educational toys (as birthday's and Christmases seem to roll around so quickly!), so when I was contacted by Jim Kim, the founder of Kidsground, introducing me to his newly designed Spielgaben Toy-Based Educational Learning System, I was keen to find out more.

Tip 3 - Laser Maze Logic

This is definitely going to be a hit in your home, especially with the boys. The game uses real lasers and makes players use logic and mirrors to solve puzzles. There are over 60 puzzles in all and its not even too expensive.

Tip 4 - Gears Gears Gears!

This superset is a great learning toy for children aged 3-9. It has actually won many awards and teaches mechanical skills to your children.

Tip 6 - Snap Circuits

If you really want an educational toy for your kids, snap circuits is amazing. It has like 300 different projects to build and teaches your kids all about electronics. Priced around $50 I feel this is a bargain. Check it out, I am sharing the link for you.
