How do I get more followers on Twitter?

Tip 1 - Quality and consistency

With Twitter it is about the quality of your tweets and how consistent you are, when I mean consistent I don't mean you spamming people every 5 minutes with a tweet. Once an hour will do just fine just ensure your tweet isn't as useless as "I just went to take a poo" or "Facebook is getting crap" these are things millions of people have already said.

Give people a reason to follow you, keep your tweets high quality and keep it consistent.

Tip 2 - Reply back to tweets from real people

In order to get more followers you need to reply to tweets from real people. Whenever you see a comment or a statement or share, reply to it with something relevant and you are likely to get a follower.

Tip 3 - Simple Rule, Help & Appreciate Others!

Yes this works on Twitter, find users of your peer and help them when they need it surely 95% among them will follow you.

Mark tweets favourite or retweet if someone within your network has shared something worth reading to show your appreciation. This makes followers stick to you.

Tip 4 - Retweet useful and interesting stuff

Retweet is a powerful tool. Use it to share interesting stuff and you will start getting followers. Don't become a retweet machine though, stick to sharing quality stuff.

On the sidebar you can see the trending hashtags. Those are the things most talked about at the time and you should include those hashtags in your tweets to get the maximum exposure. If you have something interesting to say about it, you will definitely get follows.
